Curtis graduated from Queen’s University Belfast with distinction in 2015. Before beginning full time work as a dentist Curtis spent time volunteering in a dental hospital in Cambodia, where he helped the clinicians with treatments ranging from basic dental extractions up to and including surgery where patients had suffered dental or facial trauma.
After University Curtis has spent time working in England in Newcastle Upon Tyne, before coming home and joining Morrison Dental Clinic in 2018.
He enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and is continually furthering his knowledge and skill set through postgraduate qualifications.
In 2019 Curtis completed a year long certificate in restorative dentistry which has enabled him to be competent in treating complex cases involving heavily broken down teeth and re-establish a functional and confident smile for his patients.
In 2024 Curtis completed a year long post graduate diploma in periodontics, which has allowed him to be confident in treating complex cases of gum disease using either non surgical or occasionally surgical approaches. This ties in well with Curtis’ ethos of always striving to save teeth as much as possible for his patients.
Curtis prides himself on good communication with his patients and likes to get to know his patients during their various appointments. This attitude lends itself well to the treatment of anxious patients as every procedure will be explained in language that is easy to understand and the patient is always given time to ask questions and ensure they are happy to proceed.
Outside of dentistry Curtis loves to travel and explore different countries ,cultures and even ended up getting married to his wife Hollie in Greece in 2022 with their close friends and family. Curtis is a self professed fan of sport, in particular rugby, football and formula one. Curtis also enjoys dining out in Belfast when he can and spending time with his friends and family.
